78th Fraser Highlanders

Hello

A local historian Yves Hebert is preparing a article on the 78th Fraser Highlander. The period cover is from 1760-1765 many of thems has build house and buy seigneuris here on the 'Cote-du-Sud" of the Saint-Laurent river.

A garisson of thems has lived for two years in the city of Montmagny in a historical house that still exist today 313 Blvd Tache Ouest in Montmagny, Quebec. I can send you a post cart of the house if you wish.

The 4 pages article on the presence of the 78th Fraser on the "Cote-du-Sud" of the St-Laurence River will be publish in feburary 2009 in the Javelier magazine.

If I remember, the name of the two officer in garisson at Montmagny (Saint-Thomas) from 1760-1762 are Major James Abercromby and Lieutenant Alexander Fraser from the 78th Fraser Highlanders.
