. IRENE, b. Sept. 11, 1745; m. in 1769, Lieut. Daniel Newcomb. He was b. in Leyden, Mass., Nov. 18, 1741. When but three years of
age his parents were driven from their home by the Indians and compelled to leave the county. They went to Lebanon, Conn. He d. in 1794. She d. in Winhall, Vt., in 1816. He was lieutenant in the Revolutionary war; was on the committee of correspondence;chairman of the committee of safety

Ensign in Revoultionary War. Claimed as ancestor by several people in DAR 100 vol publication

Electa Day was descendant of Robert Day who came to Braintree in 1634.
Electa's father, Russel, was member of VT assembly.
