My Josef and Apollonia Franz came to America on 7 Sept 1869 with five of their six children. They journeyed on the SS Baltimore. (documented) Josef became a citizen of the US on Aug 11, 1880 in Phelps County MO. (documented) He had to be in the US for five years, before becoming a citizen and in MO the year before becoming a citizen. I do not know where he was from Sept 1869 untill 1875.

Does any of this Josef's journey fit your Josef Franz?
