My mother was born in 1901 at 315 North St. next door to the Franz family at #317. In the late 1930's we lived in back of Miss Annie Franz. She died about 1942. I never knew of any other Franz except her relatives probably in New Braunfels. The family came from Germany in mid 1800's. You can find them in the San Antonio 1891 directory on-line:
