You question is right on-target. An encyclopedia of Jewish biography states that Abigail/Bilhah Levy and Jacob Franks had a son named Michael. If I recall correctly the volume gives a specific 1723 or 1725 date for birth of that son. There is no evidence whatever that Michael Franks who d. in early 1793, Fayette Co., PA, was born in "Rhenish Palatines," or that he was connected in any way with the above Bilhah and Jacob. A bunch of misguided Tree People assusmed "same name = same person" and immediately began putting Bilhah/Jacob in their trees as parents of Michael who d. 1793. The notion that this Michael (d. 1793, Fayette Co.) was born around 1723 is a conclusion from the birth date given on a gravestone for his son Jacob (1743). It is an estimate only. Michael could have been born before 1700, and could have had more children than the Jacob, Michael and Catherine who are proved through his bequests in his will (probated 1 April 1793 in Fayette Co.). [One Henry Franks who also lived in SW Penna. is speculated as a child by some, but there is no evidence of a connection]. So disregard the Jacob/Bilha bit unless some connecting evidence turns up, that could be something like an heirs' deed identifying residence at the time Jacob/Bilha died, or an estate settlement giving residences of children, or other estate record. So far, not a soul has given evidence. Bad genealogy has a long life, so this purported connection is now very widespread in trees, and will be replicated by the tree-copiers for a long time.
