I may have misspoken on this line being involved in DNA testing. I will have to go back and double check that. I do know I am correct about the George & Vashti Franklin line definitely not being related to mine though, as someone kept posting that my ancestor was their descendant despite my telling them I knew that couldn't be correct and that George & Vashti's line is a proven lineage with DAR and my ancestor is not among their children. LOL
Do you know about the DNA testing project for Franklin? It has really helped me out a TON! What is your line of descent from Francis Marion Franklin?
My family is Thomas Franklin b.c1760s, England? who married wife Nancy and appears in early Wilkinson/Pulaski County, GA records where there daughter Elizabeth married her husband. They are in Pulaski County, GA records up to about 1815/6. They are in Alabama by 1822 when son Willson Franklin marries Temperance Straughn there. Thomas died, apparently in Covington County, AL c1829. The Covington county, AL census shows wife Nancy, widowed, and sons Solomon and Willson Franklin as heads of household there. Sons Josiah & Moses Franklin are residing in Tuscaloosa/Greene Counties in AL up until the mid 1800s when they all migrated to MS. Josiah's family then migrated to TX after his death. I do have information on your Esom Franklin line, from other sources, which I can share if you're interested. In fact, I could post a pdf of that FGS to the GA Franklin site--I'll try to do just that later today. If there is anything I can lookup/check for in GA records let me know and I'll try to do so and post to the group.
