Hello,
Actually the information by the previous poster is not erroneous. There are two different Wade Franklins with brothers named Avery of this generation.Jesse Franklin is a contemporary of and may very well be the brother of Rev. Allen Franklin.
All daes approximate:
Jesse Franklin was born 1805 in South Carolina. His wife was Tina (nee NEW?) His children were: Amanda 1839, Thomas B. 1841, William E (Elbert?). 1843, Betsey 1845, Marina 1848, Milledge 1861, WADE 1853, AVERY 1855.There may be more children.Wade Born 1853 had a son named Avery.
As you can see, the naming of these children is remarkably like those of Rev. Allen Franklin (this our line through his son A.P. Franklin who also had sons named Wade and Avery). If anybody can connect Jesse Franklin (b.1805 d after 1880) to Rev. Allen (b. 1807 d.1888) please let me know.
Liz
