I, too, am chasing the elusive Abraham/Abe Franklin, who was the father of Bird Franklin (b. 1806, NC - d. 1890, Letcher County, KY).Bird was my ggg-grandfather.
So far, while various people trace their lines through Abel (1797), Bird, and Shadrack(Shadrach), all of whom identify Abraham as the father (and Sarah/Sallie Spears as the mother), no one can provide me any documentation.
