Hi Heather, I know of a Thomas Frankland born about 1836, I believe in England. He married twice and had several children by both wives. My connection to him is through his second wife, Julia B. Vallette (1854 - 1942). She was an older sister to one of my great-great grandmothers. They were married in Edwards County, Illinois in 1875. He died in 1893 and they are both buried in Edwards County at the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Several of their descendants still reside in Edwards County. If this is the same Thomas Frankland you are looking for, he also has a descendant through Julia who is a sitting judge in Edwards County whose name is David Frankland. Good hunting! Gary L.
