I am doing some research for a cousins daughter. She has recently been diagnosed with a rare form of Anemia, and has asked me to see if I can find out if any other family members have had this problem, and what they ended up doing.
What I know about this form of Anemia:
1. Occurs in about 1 in a Million People
2. Genetic. Found in individuals with North European,Mediterranean or French descent
3. Can skip up to 5 generations
4. Males are carries - Females become symptomatic
Her Grandparents were Irene (Franklund) & Theodore Thorson
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
