My Franklands are also from Lancashire: Waddington in Yorkshire first, then Clitheroe in Lancashire. The IGI has hundreds of them. My James was born in 1800, his parents were Henry and Margaret. Brothers & sisters were Ellen, Jennet, William, Henry, Margaret, Robert and John, all born btw. 1795 and 1811. And that's all I have on this line. Was in England this summer, and our tour bus driver was from the Clitheroe area. He couldn't take us there, though. Beautiful country, can't imagine why they left. This is probably of no use to you, except to let you know that there ARE more Franklands out there, and some are from Lancashire. Good luck! Sue V
