My Gt Gt Grandfather was Thomas Frankland born Harrop (which is between Slaidburn and Bolton by Bowland) in 1798 and he married Ellen Tomlinson. They had a daughter Ellin who lived for only 2 days. His second wife Ellen Parker also had a daughter Ellen born 1853 at Catlow Slaidburn and as far as I know she was buried at Slaidburn 1866.

My Thomas was the son of William born 1747 in West Bradford who married Mary Carr and in turn he was the son of Henry born 1743 and probably born W. Bradford but baptised in Waddington. Your Thomas might well have bee a cousin of my ancestor as Henry had several sons whose descendants are not known to me.

I will, when I have time, look through some of my information I will see what I have that may help. There was definitely another branch of Franklands in the Grindleton area at the same time as the West Bradford ones.

Hope you find this of some interest if not of help.
Margaret
