Thank you for your response.
I did have your husband's family line down to his grandparents in my tree but it was good to receive confirmation from an immediate family member.
I had also found August's naturalisation info on the National Archives website as well as the same christening record on the FamilySearch website, which as you say needs to be confirmed but it may take a trip to Germany to do that.
I find not being able to find the ship he immigrated on is quite frustrating but I won't give up searching. If I ever do, I will let you know.
