Hello everyone, This is my first postingm having just discovered this site. I have been reluctant to post on any other site because of an awful lack of information. But I thought what little I know ought to be posted somewhere. So here goes. My Frankel progenitor was Morris Jacob Frankel. He arrived in London about 1890, already married, to Tilla Bornstein. They were both in the 1891 English census and both stated they were from “Poland.” He was 22 and she was 23. They had ten children in London between 1891 and 1908. On Morris’s second marriage certificate and his gravestone his father’s name is given as Myer. And that is all I know about Morris. I do not know his mother’s name or how many siblings he had or their names. I have done the genealogy pretty much on all the descendants of the ten children (my grandfather was the oldest son and second child). I do have an essay I can send to anyone as an attachment which gives a little more about the English side of things. But where he really came from is still a mystery. Many thanks, Jeremy Frankel President, San Francisco Bay Area JGS. Notify Administrator about this message?
