Austin Franey was my gg grandfather, one of 18 brothers (12 surviving) born to Ellen MacManus and John Franey. Austin married Mary Connolley in Boston in 1865 and then moved to Waverly,Minnesota. Other brother were; Cormac, Henry, Charles, John, James, Martin, Joseph, Owen, Daniel, Thomas and Patrick H. Franey. Patrick and James olso came to America around the same time, 1865. On Mary Connelly Franey's headstone is said they came from Lockerion, Co. Mayo, Ireland.
