This is my family, too. My mother was a Franco born in Wailuku Maui of Alfredo Carl Franco and her family are Freitas from Madeira and I was born in Oahu and knew these people as my family. She's still alive in Texas at 89 years old. There were Pereira's, and a whole long list of names including Castro.
This may have been my great grandfather or great uncle. I know the name but think that it was my great grandparents. There is a large group in SF that I communicate with but my grandfather married his third or fourth cousin so these families are all still together. If you answer this I'll send you some paste ups of what I have from a data bank.
