I know of people called Franco/Frank in Fall River. The part of the Azores you refer to as NOR-ASH is Nordeste, located in the northeastern part of the island of Sao Miguel (actually, the name Nordeste means "Northeast"). My Franco ancestors in the USA came from Nordeste and settled in the Fall River area.
