Hi Jane,
I am a descendant of John H. Franklow. He is my 4/Great Grandfather. Just wanted to mention that I also find John on Oct 22, 1850 in Richland County, SC as an inmate in the insane asylum there. I would really like to figure out an accurate date of death for John if possible. I have been looking for the source of the original death date for Aug 8, 1850. Upon doing so, I found on the Palmetto site in the abstracts from Rev. Godfrey Dreher's journal, listed is a John Franklow buried the 2nd Sunday of Aug 1850. That would put the burial on the 11th. So I wonder if there has been some mix up along the way with another John Franklow, just a thought. I would love to hear back from you if think of anything else.
Thanks,
T.K.
