Interesting mystery. I found Carlos Francisco in 1910. I found Rose Brown in New York City in 1900. I found Charles G. Thompson in 1920 and Rose H. (widow) with Helen in 1930.

Did you notice that Carlos' occupation said Palmist? Fortune teller? Is it possible that he assumed the name Carlos Francisco because it sounded more exotic for that occupation?

I did find a military record for Charles G. Thompson
born Cincinatti, Ohio about 1870
Enlisted: Baltimore 23 Jun 1902
Discharged: Ft. Hancock, NJ 22 Jun 1905
Sgt.
Occupation: Agent

Hope this is helpful. Good hunting.
