Are there any connections between the people in these documented events? Would appreciate help from knowledgeable Francis researchers. 1774, June: “Robert Francis” m. Margaret Casey in the province of Pennsylvania (no location noted). 1784, Sept: “Catharine Francis” received military pay for one Roger Casey in Pennsylvania (location not specified). This Roger Casey enlisted in Col. William Hendricks’ company in Cumberland Co. PA and was taken prisoner with other American troops in the Battle of Quebec on Dec 31, 1775. He was later paroled and was then in an “Invalid Regiment” which had its beginnings in Philadelphia, PA. He may be the same, or related to the Roger Casey that I research who lived in Amherst Co., VA and later Wilkes/Lincoln Co., GA, but this I do not know! There is no indication as to whether this agent Catharine Francis was actually related to the Roger Casey, RWS, and whether “Francis” was her maiden or married surname. Realizing that there is more than one Catharine Francis, am trying to pinpoint this one’s relations. 1810, Oct: “Catharine Francis” died in Philadelphia, PA, age 78 (b 1732). Buried at the Universalist Burying Ground. Lived at 7th near South Streets. Whether the same Catharine Francis as above is unknown. 1810, Sept: “Nancy Francis” m. Daniel Casey (b 1787, MD or VA) in Frederick Co., Maryland. I believe this to be the couple who later lived in Morrow Co., Ohio. If so, she died in 1852. If you are a Casey descendant of this couple, please contact me. Thanks! Joyce Harris, Houston, TX Notify Administrator about this message?
