Notes:
1.Parents for Mathurin Arsonneau and Michelle Giraud are not known since baptismal records are only available beginning in 1607.
2. Francois Arsonneau is most likely the Francois Arsonneau who immigrated to Quebec and married Suzanne Lecomte and had one son Michel before his death. No record of marriage or death can be found in France for this François Arsonneau. Some has speculated that Francois was born in Paris, France however no birth or baptismal certificate has ever been found.Fred Arceneaux (descendent of Francois Arsonneau) currently residing in Alabama, submitted ydna and compared his results with the ydna of Michel Arseneault (descendent of Pierre Arsenault), a Journalist residing in Paris.Their results revealed that Pierre Arsenault (Acadian) born 1646 and Francois Arsonneau (Quebec) born 1623 were closely related possibly brothers or at the furthest relationship cousins.François and Pierre were Uncle-Nephew.
3. The Priest obviously made an error while recording the Baptismal for Françoise Arsonneau because Françoise Goizin is listed as spouse instead of Jeanne Goizin and this is probably an error.Pierre Arsonneau, the father of Francoise is the only Pierre Arsonneau fathering children during this period in Migré.Pierre Arsonneau was married to Jeanne Goizin not Francoise Goizin as shown in the baptismal record.Examining baptismal records for the period 1607 to around 1700, the family names Arsonneau and Goizin make up the majority of residents of the Hamlet of La Flamancherie and could easily have led the Parish Priest in error.
4. This Pierre Arsonneau is probably the Pierre Arsonneau who immigrated to Acadia on or about 1671 that married first Marguerite Dugas then after Marguerite's death Marie Guerin. No record of marriage or death has ever been found in France for this Pierre Arsonneau.A French Consular Officer serving in the U.S. speculated That Pierre came from the Haute Savoie (Alps) region but no record was ever found in that region. Most Genealogy records show 1646 as Pierre's birth date and list Saintonge as the ancient Province that he was born.Migré is in the Ancient Province of Saintonge; less that 30 miles from the two major towns of this ancient French Province, Saint Jean d'Angely 10 miles from Migre and Saintes 26 miles.La Rochelle where Pierre supposedly boarded the ship l'Oranger for Acadia is 30 miles from Migré.
Initial discovery of baptismal record for Pierre Arsonneau was made by Christopher Arseneault, Son of Gerald and Francine Arseneault, Veteran, U.S. Navy Crypto Tech for 12 years currently a U.S. Government Federal Employee, residing in Belgium who noticed that Migré had the most births, marriages and deaths records for all of France, he thus began searching records there and he found Pierre Arsonneau born in 1646.There were no government-registered births. The Parish Priest baptized the children one or two days after the birth of the child and recorded the date, names of the Father and Mother, godfather and godmother. The Parish Priest also kept records of marriages and internments. The Parish Priest of the Saint Benoit Parish in Migré, diocese of Saint Jean d'Angely served the residents of La Flamancherie. All of the baptismal, marriage and death records for the family name Arsonneau in Migré show them residing at the hamlet of La Flamancherie near Migré.The Arsonneau males were all Laboureur à Boeuf (Ox Ploughman).
