Dear Jean,
At this point I have not been able to locate any military records listing my 4th G-Grandfather, either U.S. or French in that area at the time.
I am working on trying to find any sort of information if I can. What I have been able to determine is that unless he were an officer there does not seem to be many records regarding the lower level service men in our U.S. records.
If you find anything regarding the name(s) of any French military units in that area at that time period I would be interesting in knowing that also so I could maybe do some further research here in the U.S.A.
The maiden name for what should have been his wife was - Sarah GREEN.
I plan on trying to locate some sort of record in the U.S. showing any units in the Shrewsbury MA area in the 1747-1748 time period.
Thank you for looking further, it is greatly appreciated.
Don Finel
