DANIEL Family 1672 Caux, France - 1859 Canada; connection to Boisdenemetz?
Bonjour,
I am helping a friend research his ancestor's possible coat of arms.
He has his DANIEL family history beginning with Thomas DANIEL, born 1672 in Caux, Allier, Auvergne, France through Pierre DANIEL born Aug. 2, 1859, baptized that same day at St. Zephirin-de-Courval, Co. Yamaska, Quebec.
My friend has found a coat of arms for the "DANIEL DE BOISDENEMETZ" surname of Normandy which he believes has been shortened to DANIEL. I have found the family tree of Claude DANIEL DE BOISDENEMETZ (1753-1827) from "Essai de Genealogie", par Alain GARRIC - GeneaNet. But, we haven't been able to make a connection from the DANIEL DE BOISDENEMETZ family to the DANIEL family of Caux.
Has anyone with DANIEL ancestors found a connection to the "DANIEL DE BOISDENEMETZ" family?
Merci beaucoup!
Bien cordialement,
Michele Almeida
