The Roy - Desjardins combination came from a soldier in the Carignan-Salieres Regiment who came to Canada in the mid 1600s. The common form of the surname is "Roy dit Desjardins".

So, it is highly unlikely that there is any connection with your Denyse Dujardin. The name similarity is only a coincidence.
