Today I was looking online for, of course, Ratcliffe's and got on a site that was deaths in France in the 1800's. I found one for a William Ratcliffe who died in Rouen France, 4th quarter of 1854. Could this possibly be him......I have looked for so many years.
Also can you tell me what information is usually on death certificates from France.
You are probably right and my information is not, but I surely do hope that you were wrong and this is my ggg grandfather.
