Hi there,

Was John William born in France or in the US?

If John was born in France you should concentrate on locating his birth so you can make sure you have the right Henry and Mary.

If he was born in the US we should look to see if we can find the family together in censuses, determine if there were other children and work out if they married before or after emigrating.
