I found the actual entry of the marriage between Racicot/Henry that I referred to in my previous post.It seems that this Racicot is Michel Racicot who is also the son of Michel Racicot.I also think it says that one of the witness' for the groom is his uncle, Francois Allard.Could this be the older brother to Jacques?Being the younger brother could explain why Jacques ventured into the unknown new world (for opportunity not available in Chateau Gontier due to an elder brother).Tell me what you think. It is the second entry on the left page.It is on page 115/233 of Château-Gontier BMS 1699-1716 - Mairie
I also found another entry in 1706 that looks like the death of a Racicot.I think I can make out Michel Racicot. It also looks like the word "Tissex" is in the entry.Could that be related to Jacques dit name Tixier? The entry is on page 111/233 of Château-Gontier BMS 1699-1716 - Mairie
Thats all for now.Thanks again.
Judson
