Evening Kim
Have you tried the BT Phone Book for NASH in the Hastings area?
There are about seven listed, with a strong chance that one or more are related.
It could be a source of further clues.

==============================
On Find My Past Migration list, there is this entry-
http://www.findmypast.co.ukhttp://www.findmypast.co.uk
NASH Geo Wm 1904 M 1926 London France Marseille VIEWVIEW
This person is a Civil Engineer born in 1904, bound for Marseille to board the P&O boat RANPURA sailing to Bombay, via the Suez Canal.
I axknowledge it is not your grandfather; but could there be a connection?

Then on Ellis Island, there is this tantalising record-

9. ... NashParis, France1922View View View
although looking at the details, he is supposed to be from "Luxemberg".
Some other possibles-
235. Arthur Nash1921View View View
236. Arthur Nash192318View View View (18 years old)
256. Arthur R. Nash191919View View View
For various reasons, ages can be guesses almost in those lists; but it does give you some idea of other possibilities and sources.

Also that Death record may give some clues about his wife, leading possibly to her records etc.
