Nicholas George and the Potter Family
Hello,
We are looking for information on Nicholas George or his wife Catherine (Fellows) George. Her parents were John and Mary Heep Fellows. Nicholas was born about 1828 in France and came to America with his sister Mary George. Nicholas died in 1894 and Cathrine died in 1908 They are reported to have been Orphans when they came to America, we don't know when they arrived. Nicholas and Cathrine are buried in St, Anne's Cemetery in Colosse, Oswego County NY. Nicholas and Cathrine had the following children Martin, May, Lydia, Alfred Nicholas George.
Alfred Nicholas George came to WI amd married Rose Bertha Potter. Rose is the daugter of Albert Potter. Alfred Nicholas George was born in 1862 He and his wife are buried in Eureka
We are also looking for information on Albert Potter who was born in VT about 1830. His father may or may not have been Jeremiah Potter. Albert is on the 1850 Federal Census as being in Hastings, Oswego, Ny. He married Charlotte M. Walker who was from Oswego and was born in 1838. They lived in WI and Albert fought in the Civil War.
We have loccated the graves of Alber Potter and Chalotte in Eureka WI. The Potter family was mentioned in the book "The Day They Gave Babies Away" wich was made into the movie "All Mine To Give".
