IN 1828 HENRI WINDSTEIN, born 5 May 1809 in Schoenburg, emigrated from Alsace, France, to Allegheny County PA.
In 1840 he was naturalized in Allegheny County and his name appears as HENRY WINSTEIN. His sponsor was WILLIAM GARRARD.
Henry settled in Woodville, near Bridgeville, PA, Allegheny County.
On 9 October 1848 he married ELIZABETH DIETOLF (the name is sometimes spelled DEITOLF) born 1 May 1825 in Darmstadt, Germany, daughter of JOHN DIETOLF. The marriage was performed by Rev. WEITERSHAUSEN of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Allegheny City. I believe the Dietolfs lived in Allegheny City.
