Forness family of Uhlwiller / Stephan family of Reidseltz

I am a descendant of Florenze Forness (b. 9 MAR 1813 in Uhlwiller, Bas Rhin, France d. 29 SEP 1863 in Erie, PA ) He apparently immigrated with his parents Anton Fornes (have seen both one and two 's' variations) and Catherine Schneider. They settled in Williamsville, Erie Co., NY about 1830. Their children were Andrew, John, Peter, Theresia, Joseph, Michael, Florenze, and Ignatz.

Florenze married Magdalena Stephan (b. 8 SEP 1814 in Reidseltz, France d. 20 DEC 1888 in Erie, PA) in 1836 in Buffalo, NY. I have some additional information about the Stephan family and their immigration from Reidseltz (see tree link below.) The couple later relocated to Erie, PA. I am descended through their son Florenze Forness who married Mary Esser. Florenze worked on the railroad, but died very young (Age 28 in 1880 from Tuberculosis) He and Mary had two daughters - I am descended via Lena Magdalena Forness, who wed George Schwab in Erie, and then via their daughter Irene Schwab, who married Aaron Nolan.

My tree is located online at: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cjmuller

I am interested in corresponding with anyone that might have more information. I will be in Alsace this summer and plan to visit the villages of Uhlwiller and Reidseltz.
