My grandfather, August Christian Renneisen, came over around 1850 and settled in Louisville, KY. He was a chef and worked for the major hotels in Louisville. I'm trying to locate the town or area in Alsace Lorraine where the family originated. I would appreciate any information or advise you can give on my search. Thanks. Charles M.
