Hi, thanks for the reply I am continuing my late husbands research of his family and all the research I have was his handy work. He was descended from another of the nine Frame children 'Grizel'. She married John Maxwell and had eight children in Glasgow Barony and Bellshill Bothwell. I also have no information on John Frame's father though it would be a safe bet to say he was Andrew. If nothing else they were fairly predictable with the naming of children after the grandparents. I also have the names of the Lindsay/Buchanan side and the siblings of Grizel. But not the names of the grandparents there on either side. If you are a member of Genes reunited you can contact me from there and see the tree. Regards Rosemary Maxwell
