I probably should have posted this information long ago, but better late than never. One of the connnections listed by Don Norman is that of James Frame being the son of Thomas Frame and Mary Rowell.
Sorry, JAMES FRAME WAS NOT THE SON OF THOMAS FRAME AND MARY ROWELL. Too bad, because Thomas' ancestors came to this country about 1640 and there were some very colorful characters in the family. This connection has been repeated by many, but I have checked out the Mass. Frame family history and there is absolutely no record of Thomas and Mary having a son of the name James. A few years ago I corresponded with a Frame family researcher and he had been able to trace the story. It seems that a Braxton County, WV newspaper reporter was given the task of writing a story on genealogy. HE is the one who made the nonexistant connection to the New England Frame family. The reporter was not particularly interested in genealogy and really only wanted to write an interesting article for the newspaper. It sounded good to connect the WV Frames to a Colonial Boston family. James and Jane Rennick were probably both immigrants.
