That makes us fifth cousins, if I did my math right. It is, indeed, totally neat to meet kinfolk on the Internet. I started doing genealogy about 30 years ago (I was just a kid, honest!) & did research for about 15 years. In all that time ... I never uncovered a single distant cousin. In the year I've been doing research on the Internet, I've found DOZENS.
New topic: does anyone know of any Native Americans living in Floyd County around 1820? My family lore says that my g.g.grandmother, Patsy (Fraley) Day's daughter, Minerva Day, was part Native American. Since I know the Fraleys are of German stock, I'm figuring it must be the Days. Anyone?Susan
