Dear Trina:
I just read your information you passed on to David and want to say it was just what I was looking for.I am working on the family tree for my husband who is the great, great grandson of David Frain. His mother was raised on a farm in Corunna and her mother was Gertrude D. Frain. Most of the information I have I gotten from newspaper clippings.I determined that Michael was David's father from the info. I got from The Washtenaw County website where I found out that Frain Lake was named after Michael. In David's obituary he mentioned that the Lake was named after his father but did not mention his father's name.In searching the web I came across this site. The obituary of the son reads that they were born in Pennsylvania, David near Harrisburg, Pa.From 1812 to 1827 the family lived on a farm in Romulus, Seneca County, NY after moving from Pa.From there the family moved to Mt. Morris, Livingston County where they bought a farm. Most of the messages are saying that Michael was born in Seneca, NY.
I am not sure I have information you have not research, but if so, I will gladly pass it on to you.
