Joshua Jones Frail and James Buskin Frail
Posted by: Bill Greenwell (ID *****8471) Date: July 11, 2002 at 07:41:40

Does anyone have information about this man? The IGI has him married in the 1820s to an Elizabeth Johnson, which sounds right to me, but has two Joshua Jones Frails marrying Elizabeth Field in 1834 and in 1841 (the second one is correct, and he is identified as a widower).

His origins are in London; his father was probably a brickmaker called Thomas Frail. He also probably had a brother called James Buskin Frail, a son with the same name, and a grandson with the same name.

He went on to move to Sunderland, where he lived by 1843, and was a wire-maker and eventually a master tin-maker. His origins are in London. He died in Sunderland in 1862 of typhus.

Any info on James Buskin Frails in Bristol much appreciated.
