I am not one of the American Fozard's but one of the Australian Fozard's. Curious like you on my family tree. My Father's name is John Alan, only son of Alan and Kathleen Fozard, of Bradford, UK. My Grandfather did manage to trace the Fozard name back to the 'Battle of Hastings'in 1066, when the Normans of France invaded England, although the name at that stage was De Fozar. It was changed in the 14th century to the currently known Fozard. The correct pronounciation of the name is actually, Foe-Zard, my family pronounces it ,Foz-zard. I hope that this helps you in your quest, good luck, and please e-mail me with any news that you have or obtain. Thank you.
