Foye Family in Maine

I am interested in my grandfather's Foye family. Ernest Ruel Foye b. 1873 married Emma May Ellis b. 1880. I have the Ellis line back to John Ellis from England in the 1630s but nothing further back than Ernest's father James Foye b.1823 and his wife Harriet Stickney b. 1829. Even though they were both from Maine they were married in Newport, R.I. in 1852. There is some family history of the Stickneys back to England.
Names listed in the family bible-
James Foye.b March 7, 1823
Harriet Foye b. April29, 1829
Prescott B. Foye b. 1853- d. 1854
James E. Foye b. 1855- d. 1878
Warren Foye b. 1857- d. 1858
Vina Basford Foye b. 1863
William Oliver Foye b. 1865
Alice M. Foye b. 1867- d. 1869
Ernest Ruel Foye b. 1873 - d. 1937
Hattie Foye m. Nelson Colburn and d. 1880
I cannot go back any further than James(b. 1823) but would like to find out when and how the Foye family came to America.
