Foxalls in the USA

My grandfather, Thomas Benjamin Foxall (1865-1947), brought his wife, Sara Ann Stitch Foxall, and his children Celia, Thomas, Ethel, William, George, Lily, and Ruth to North America in 1908. A final child, Herbert Arthur, was born in the US. My grandfather was a chainsmith by trade, was born in Chester, England, while Sara Ann was born in Staffordshire from a family of silk throwsters. He was a wanderer. The family moved back and forth over the Canadian border to the US and back, living variously in Michigan, New York state, and Pennsylvania, as well as Ontario. My mother was Ruth (b. Gateshead in 1907; d. Santa Barbara, California [where I live]in 1984). Celia eventually settled with husband Ben Rogers in Burbank, California, had six children, and the brood has multiplied considerably since. Thomas had three sons and a daughter. Ethel had two daughters. Lily and my mother had one son each. Herbert had two daughters and a son. Only cousins currently remain, and the ones bearing the Foxall name are few.

If any of you can supply further information about my branch, other branches that have come over here, or are related to our branch in some way, I would be delighted to find out. And I shall be happy to pass on more particulars to any Foxalls or descendants interested.
