Hi Helen,
The Joseph Foxall born in 1790 went blind some say from the Cremean War, he was listed as blind on the different Census. So I don't know if he was the one who founded the Foundry on Balds Lane. I know that his Son Joseph Foxall born in 1842 left England to live with my Great Aunt Ann Foxall Heath and he died in Pocatello Idaho USA. Joseph had remarried and did not like being married to her,so he left England. His Son William Foxall paid for passage in turn the Family Home was his.
I don't think Joseph Foxall br 1842 established the Foundry because he was told he had TB as a young man, so he retired from working but he lived to be 71 yr.
I know his son William Foxall br 1864 had the William Foxall Ironworks LTD. His son worked there down to Chris Foxall who has it now. And I have spoken to him on the phone recently.
I think my Great Uncle William started the Ironworks, with alot of hard work.
I don't know of Benjamin Foxall.
Mary Ellen
