I think I found him! In History of Braxton Co, and Central West Virginia by John Davison Sutton, 1919 is the quote "David Fox had several sons, two of whom B. F. Fox and John L. Fox, moved to Braxton Co. John L. Fox is dead. B.F. Fox lives near Frametown in this county."David Fox was the son of William Fox (d. 1845) and Elizabeth Durham of Amherst Co., VA who went to Greenbrier/Summers Co. They are also my ancestors. David settled on Brooks Falls on New River, four miles west of Hinton. (one account says he was previously in Franklin Co., VA From other uncredited sources, the names of John L.'s siblings were: William G., Benjamin Franklin, Charles R., Eldridge G., Joseph R. (moved to Parkersburg), Samuel H., Elizabeth Ann (married James H. Martin, a confederate soldier of Lick Creek), Melville, Washington, David M., James Arthur, Mary F. (married John Willis), and Susan (married Henry Bennett)
