Hi,
I'm looking for any members of the Fox family that last resided in Yalobusha Co., MS.
I have James 'Jas' R Fox b. 1824 AL that married Elizabeth S. Williams b. 1829 GA. They married on 09 Sep 1847 in Yalobusha Co., MS. James & Eliza are not on 1870 census, but children are still in area. Sometime after 1870, most of the children move to the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area.
Children are:
i. JOANNA T FOX, b. Abt. 1848, MS. (married Augustis T. Wimberly)
ii. ALICE 'BETTIE' ELIZABETH FOX, b. 26 Oct 1849 MS, (married Howard Tully); d. 03 Dec 1886, buried Oakwood Cem., Tarrant Co., Tx.
iii. EMMA B FOX, b. 1853, Yalobusha, MS; (married James Monroe Brannon) d. 1891, buried Oakwood Cem., Tarrant Co., Tx.
iv. JAMES ROBERT FOX, b. Oct 1853, MS; d. 08 Sep 1878, buried Greenwood Cem., Dallas, Tx.
v. MARY LOU FOX, b. 15 Dec 1857, MS; (married Frank C Callier) d. 25 Oct 1893, buried Greenwood Cem., Dallas, Tx.
vi. CHARLES DONALD FOX, b. Abt. 1860, MS; d. Dec 1888, buried Greenwood Cem., Dallas, Tx.
I'm looking into the possibility that James R Fox's parents were Robert & Permelia Fox, NC/AL/MS moved to Yalobusha Co, MS around 1840's.
Their children were: Alfred, Nancy, Caroline, John, Charity, Sampson & Albert.
I haven't found anything on these possible siblings for James R Fox.
Any info. would be appreciated,
