We have been unable to find more information on George Fox b. @1825 in PA. He was married to Lucy Ann Whipkey, and they appear together on the 1850 Federal Census living in Somerset County, PA. He is not on the 1860 census, and Lucy is living with her father Jacob, and some of their children are with other relatives around the state (for some reason).
There are some indicators that the parents of George could be Christian Fox and wife Nancy (last name unknown). I found this using a death search on LDS.org, but the date of birth of George doesn't match up with what he says on the 1850 census.
Others indicate the father as being William b. 1797 (wife unknown. William is the son of Abraham (Fuchs) and Christina Stahl both of Somerset Co., PA.
We cannot find any hard evidence to support either scenario.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
