I recently came across Jannet Fowlie while searching for Margaret Fowlie Guthrie. Jannet's name is included on a listing for a Fowlie family living in Monquhitter, Aberdeen, Scotland, in the 1700s. I would be really interested in knowing if there is a connection. Margaret seems to be one of seven or eight children born in Monquhitter, Aberdeen to William Fowlie and Malley (Mary?) Lumsden:
Margaret Fowlie (born/christened 28 March, 1784, Monquhitter
Married Captain George Guthrie 17 May, 1805.
With thanks,
