Lyn, I am looking for the same information on Josiah and Charlotte Fowles. Did you ever find anything? I suspect that we are relatives. You can see that portion of our family tree at http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000011161000508 My connection is. Josiah and Charlotte Fowles had a daughter Elizabeth. Elizabeth married a George Edwards. George and Elizabeth had a son James Edwards. James had a Daughter Elizabeth "Betty". Elizabeth "Betty" married a Frederick Gully. Betty and Frederick had a Daughter Elizabeth who is my mother. This makes Josiah Fowles my third Great Grandfather. I am convinced this is the same person you see as the dates for migration line up. Information I have is; " Josiah and Charlotte Fowles, who arrived with baby Elizabeth, in Moreton Bay on board the "Persia" on 22nd June 1856.The family lived firstly at the One Mile and then at the Two Mile district, Gympie. George Thomas Edwards [Tom] was born 18th Nov 1849 in Maitland NSW, baptised in Tamworth Parish , died 16th April 1928 in Gympie. He married Elizabeth Fowles who was born in 1856 and died in 1926. They married on 16th July 1877 in Gympie. George Thomas Edwards "Tom" would have met Elizabeth when she was about 16, when he selected 120 acres that became known as "Spring Valley"- not far from the Two Mile. The second child of George Thomas and Elizabeth was James Thomas Edwards. " Hope to hear from you. I would be keen to connect you to our family tree. cheers Richard Harvey Notify Administrator about this message?
