Does the deed in question actually mention Sarah's maiden name? If so, I would certainly consider this to be the most credible info I've come across. Just would make me wonder all the more who the Sarah was that mothered the children between 1698 and 1702 who was also married to a James Kittredge. Her maiden name seems to be a mystery, too, if it wasn't Fowle.

Roxbury has roven a tough one for me. The microfilm our library had has been either stolen or misplaced for Roxbury and there is no printed VR available. There is a complete set of the Holbrook fiche availabe at our Special Collections library but the fiche that the index claims to have Roxbury VR's on it hasn't proven to be what it is supposed to be. I have an email inquiry lodged at the Holbrook Institute and am awaiting a reply from them. Shall I keep you posted on their response?
