Hi Kelley,

I have Frederick Fouty/Foughty born approx 1830 (Ohio), married Margaret Martin. They had 9 children William Joseph Fouty - b. 1865 in MN -(my great grandfather) and one other son (Sam?) and 7 sisters (Olive, Mary, Penina...Don't know the other names). William Joseph married Constance Mae Ball in 1895 (who I believe was adopted). They had Almond Leroy (my grandfather) b. 1902 in Fairhaven, WA, Joseph Eros, Francis Bennett and Amber Margaret (who died at age 6 of Typhoid fever in 1910). Almond Leroy had Robert Almond, who had the six of us kids.

Rumor has it that William Joseph worked for the Pinkerton detective agency around 1899 and fled to Canada and then to Bellingham, Washington. I have also heard that William Joseph may have been a twin?

I'm thrilled about learning there were 3 generations of Frederick Fouty's. We have been stuck on the one born in 1830 (or 1834). So now the question is...who were Frederick Fouty/Foughty's (the first one from 1775) parents?

Christine
