Jerry -

You may well want to check out the messages just below starting with Dorothy England's Posting and Frank Fourqurean's reply #48 in which he states Dorothy had established the Descendants of John FOURQUEREAN and his Wife Judith including:

Your South Carolina Levi FORQUERON as the son of Samuel FORQUERON son of John FORQUERON and Judith {Name Unknown}

Dorothy's information was the Chesterfield Co., VA Chancery Records concerning the Estate of John FORQUERON, with Daniel FORQUERON and Major WINFREE, Administrators which I spoke of in my first posting of to-day.

The Gentleman may have more "Proofs" i. e., Court Records, Deeds, Taxes or Vital Records on the time between the:

Chesterfield Co., VA Chancery Proceedings concerning the Estate of John FORQUERON:

1808 - Samuel FURQUERON, dec'd - Infant Children: Levy FURQUERON

1811 - Edward FORQUERON, Guardian of Levi FORQUERON

Some 39 years to the:

1850 - US Federal Census Abbeville District S.C., - Levi FARKIN b Virginia

1860 - US Federal Census, Abbeville District, S. C. - Levi FERQUERON - b Virginia

ITEM: Playing the Name Game which is always important in Genealogy:

#1 - Samuel FERQUERON of Chesterfield Co., VA: Names his First Born Son: "Levy".

#2 - "Levi" FERQUERON of Abbeville, SC: Names his First Born Son: "SAMUEL".

#3 - James FERQUERON, son of Levi FERQUERON: Names a Son: "SAMUEL".

Enjoy The Search - Lois
