Hi Eleonore,
I'm genealogist for the Fournier's Association and I have many marriages for the Fourniers of Petit-Rocher, NB. I belive that it had an error in the copy of marriage for Françoise Fournier and Amable Chamberland.

It's not possible that Jean Fournier was the father of Françoise. He is his brother. Jean Fournier was married in 1834 with Helen Boudreau and they had a child in 1835 and two children in 1836 and they had no Françoise at this time.

I had no birth date for Françoise, but I believe she was born about 1818 or 1819 at Nouvelle, Gaspésie where his parents Jacques Fournier and Angélique Couture settled for a few years before to establised in Petit-Rocher about 1823-25.

Louis Lagasse, mentionned as withness, was the brother-in-law of Françoise. He married Marie Fournier (possibly Marie-Eleonore), 28/11/1826, in Petit-Rocher.
